Co‐feeding of Ethene, Propene and 1‐Butene to Co‐Mn‐catalysed Fischer‐Tropsch synthesis

In Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS), a variety of hydrocarbons with different chain lengths are formed. The selectivities depend on the catalyst and reaction conditions. Co-feeding olefins allows changing selectivity even outside rules Anderson-Schulz-Flory distribution. this work, ethene, propene, 1-butene were co-fed to Co-Mn-catalyzed FTS increase olefin in C3- C8-fraction. An CO rate oxygenate indicates that besides also hydroformylation takes place. While predominant is unwanted hydrogenation olefins, could case ethene be reduced by lowering H2 pressure.
